In this month’s Perspectives, ESPI Director H. Ludwig Moeller evaluates the Space Summit 2023 in Seville, welcoming planned ambitions to boost European competitiveness through intra-European competitions for space transportation, while noting that there is still postponed action (and revolution) , which will further widen the gap between Europe and space powers such as U.S. and China. He suggests that the planned ESA2040 strategy may consider the ESPI2040 vision, recently published and supported by ESPI extraordinary General Assembly and Advisory Council as a reference.
