Contribute to a Space Weather questionnaire!

ESPI is excited to announce that this year, together with the European Space Agency, we will co-organise a topical discussion meeting (TDM) on Space Weather Operational Governance in Europe during the European Space Weather Week on 7 November, in Coimbra, Portugal.

Community needs along with challenges and opportunities for different contributors, including the academic community and commercial industry, will be discussed in the frame of enabling transition from scientific to operations-ready assets along with information delivery to impacted users. Lessons learned from other areas of natural hazard management will also be discussed.

As we are gearing up for the discussion, the TDM organisers would like to invite the space weather community to participate in an ESPI questionnaire “Towards Operational Space Weather Governance in Europe: Lessons Learned from Natural Hazard Management” designed to gather your views and insights on these topics. The survey’s results will be presented during the panel to inform and encourage a fruitful conversation and to highlight the voices of the broader space weather community.

You can share your vision here by 31 October: https://forms.office.com/e/2hva0MKKx4

We appreciate your contribution. Please share this post with any other community members for whom you believe the topic is relevant.

We are looking forward to seeing some of you during the discussion at #ESWW2024! You can find more information about the panel under TDM13 – Towards Space Weather Operational Governance in Europe: Lessons Learned from Natural Hazard Management at https://esww2024.org/
