Recently the United States proposed a new approach concerning the future commercial utilization of the International Space Station (ISS), with a greater involvement of private actors and leading to the eventual privatization of the station after 2024. While this was announced, Europe was celebrating the 10th anniversary of Columbus and ATV. The ESPI Brief 22 provides some key questions that would need to be addressed in order to ensure a successful continuation and outcome of the largest international Space program ever conceived.
