On 27 June 2018, ESPI Resident Fellow Marco Aliberti was invited to deliver a lecture on the outlook of China’s outer space strategy at the 11th edition of the TOChina Summer School, which was held in Torino from 25 June to 6 July 2018.

Organised by the TOChina Hub of the University of Torino, the summer school featured two high-powered weeks of lectures, seminars, round tables, and training in the politics, political economy and foreign policy of contemporary China. The lecture by Marco Aliberti, titled “All Above Heaven: The Outlook of China’s Outer Space Strategy and Its Global Repercussions”, outlined the programmatic dimension of Chinese space efforts, thoroughly discussed the key elements and objectives of Beijing´s strategic posture vis-à-vis space issues and elaborated on elaborate on its regional and global repercussions at political, economic and military level.
