ESPI Director was invited to talk at the last Friends of Europe's  European Young Leaders seminar that took place in London 5th from 14 to 16th March 2019. This seminar was a unique opportunity to meet  European Young Leaders and alumni in an informal setting and discuss key European challenges, including space exploration, which has long been at the centre of scientific and political discourses.

The European Young Leaders programme brings together young and talented Europeans from different countries, different backgrounds and different sectors, and tries to invoke dialogue in which we don’t put an emphasis on problems but instead aim to look for innovative solutions. Its relaxed tone and out-of-the-box nature have brought about salient and open discussions that have facilitated the development of a strong network of young talented future leaders.

Every year, the think tank Friends of Europe brings together a new class of European Young Leaders aged 40 and under who have made their mark in a wide range of activities and who are headed for the topmost ranks of European leadership in various fields of activity, including politics, science, business, media, NGOs, the arts and civil society.
