From January 2021 to August 2022, ESPI will contribute to the European Commission´s Horizon 2020 project titled “Space Traffic Management for XXI Century Space Operations” (EUSTM). The broad EUSTM project team led by GMV comprises altogether 19 organisations across the Europe and will prepare the floor towards a more comprehensive European approach to STM.
EUSTM is an end-to-end activity towards the definition of a future European STM capability. The EUSTM consortium brings together a comprehensive group of stakeholders with operational, technical, legal or policy expertise. Building on the outcomes of the ESPI Space Traffic Management Report published in January 2020, ESPI will be in charge of coordinating activities related to policy, governance, security, legal and socio-economic impact analyses and assesments and will contribute to the consultation campagin with European and international stakeholders.
