ESPI Resident Fellow Martin Sarret took part in the review of the 2018 Space Security Index in Montreal, Canada, which is a collaborative research effort between the Project Ploughshares, the Simons Foundation, McGill University Institute of Air and Space Law, the Research Unit for Military Law and Ethics of the University of Adelaide, the Space Policy Institute of George Washington University, and the School of Law of Xi’ian Jiatong University.

The Space Security Index is the first and yearly published, comprehensive and integrated assessment report of space security. The project aims at providing a fact base of trends and developments in the field of space security, keeping a neutral stance and based on primary, and open-source research.
